Happy birthday griffin

I can't believe my baby boy is 6! It feels just like yesterday I was bringing you home from the hospital.

You are such an amazing young boy. You are smart, sweet, sensitive and caring, imaginative and creative- so many traits I wish I had! I love listening to you sing, watching you play with your brother and sister,answering your MANY questions... You are never dull- and rarely quiet, but your mind is always working. You are already growing into an amazing young man and I know God will have great plans for you. Your mom and dad love you with all our hearts. Happy birthday!

Sleepover fun?

Well, we survived our first sleepover. I say that but as I am writing this there are still 5 boys that don't belong to me upstairs playing sky landers. It really went great. The boys came over around 5:30 and played upstairs for a while. We then ate pizza and and went outside to play on the slip n slide. After that they opened presents, ate cake, and then played some more with all his cool presents. At about 9:30 we pulled out all the sleeping bags and put in a movie- Reese went to bed and the boys were relatively quiet eating popcorn and watching the adventures of tin tin. They all passed out around 11:30- it didn't take long once we settled them down. Of course, everyone was up at 7 sharp, thanks in part to Reese. Nathan made pancakes and everyone ate and jumped right back into playing.

All the kids did great. There were no bedtime tears and they all got along really well. Nathan had to do a little regulating on the game playing, but they were all really good

I thought I was keeping this a small group (3 buddies from church and 2 cousins) but it was about as big as well could handle. It turned it perfect and was one of the easiest parties to plan.

Happy first birthday Reese

Our baby turned one today. We had a great evening celebrating with family and friends.

Reese,

One year ago you came into our lives and completed our family. You were the missing piece that made us whole. Your brothers have adored you since day one and love you so much. You already love them too, although they get in your face more than you like. That's ok, you are learning to fight back

It is so neat for your dad and I to see how a little girl acts. You are like your brothers in many ways. You aready
have a great big personality, like them. You are strong willed and determined (I thought for sure I'd have at least one easy going child. You are already smart and funny. But you are also your own person. Like tucker, you love being with your mommy. It is so fun to watch you grow and find your place in our family

Reese, just know that your mom and dad love you very much. But more than that, your heavenly father loves you and wants to get to know you as you grow up. We pray for many more years together watching you grow, learn, and love. Happy birthday sweet girl!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the austin civic orchestra performance at zilker with our friends Tim and lleyton. It was another fun free summer experience here in Austin.
