First day if children's ark

Friday was the first day for children's ark. Tucker was so excited he could
Hardly stand it! He has been talking about it for weeks, especially since griff started K. He has been counting down the days until he started in "miss Mary and miss Terry's class". The other day he told me after he saw Mary at school, "there's one of my teachers. It's either miss Mary or miss terry. ". Now he knows who is who :). He ha d a great day and is looking forward to a great year.

Reese had her first day of preschool. I was a little worried she might cry and not take a nap for her teachers, but she did great and slept for 3 hours while I worked after school.

I also started again for my second first year as a preschool II teacher. I have a sweet class and am looking forward to the year.

First day of kindergarten

I can't believe this day has arrived. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our sweet baby boy home from the hospital. Now he is 6 and in kindergarten. He is such a big boy- not scared or nervous, just excited. Can't wait to hear about his day.

Car conversations

Riding back from dinner in the car with tucker and our conversation went something like this:

T- dinosaurs are astink. Do you know hat astink means?
Me- what?
T- it mean their dead
Me- yeah, that's right, there are no more
T- yeah, they're all in heaven...pause....we will die when we're a million years old
Me- oh really
T- yeah, we will all be scared of the dinosaurs in heaven...even grant will be (his cousin)

Lake O the Pines

We took our first Fant Family vacation with our own families. We met at a lake house in Lake O the Pines near Longview, TX. We got a boat for part of one day, went antique shopping in Jefferson, went to the Great Texas balloon race in Longview one night, and spent a lot of time, eating , playing, and swimming together.

Today marks the day 8 years ago when I said, "I do" to you. And that was the beginning of the happiest 8 years of my life. You have taken such perfect care of me and of our family. You are everything God has called you to be as a husband, as a father, as an employer and a leader in your job, and mostly as a Christian leader of our family. I am so

4th of July fun

We had a fun 4th this year. We decided to become honorary citizens of round rock for the day. We went to the rr parade in the morning and that afternoon we went to old settlers park for the frontier days and fireworks. It was a good time, mostly free and lots to keep us busy.
