Thanksgiving at the Smith's

We had our first Thanksgiving on our own this year. It was not a total "traditional" Thanksgiving, but the ham was yummy and we fixed the sides we liked (that's the advantage of having it on your own). Griffin was hesitant to try the new dishes, but once he gave in and took a bite, he loved the seet potatoes and the green bean casserole. It was actually cold here in Austin, which made it feel so much more like Thanksgiving. I am so Thankful that I was able to spend this day with my family and I am thankful that Nathan had the day off.

Trip #2 to the Fire Station in Searcy

Okay, we LOVE the fire station in Searcy! Griffin, however, did not love the big truck as much this time- it can be a little intimidating. He did, however, love the little antique fire engine. You can see his haircut better in these pics too.

Griffin's First Haircut

Griffin finally got his crazy curls cut off. I wish we had a better picture of the final product- we were in such a hurry to get on the road to Arkansas. Tiffini did such a good job- he looks like such a little boy now. Even after his cut, he still has his curls- which makes mommy happy!

Griffin's new hat

I guess wearing his hat for Halloween wore off on him. Today Griffin walked around with his new "hat", trying to keep it on his head.

Trick or Treat a Trunk

Trick or Treat a Trunk was held after Halloween this year. It was great to have another chance to wear his costume and see all the other great costumes of his friends.

Halloween

Griffin loved trick or treating. We drove to our friends houses around the neighborhood and Griffin wore his bus and hat with pride. He said trick or treat ("tick teet") on command and thank you ("ta tuu") after getting the candy. It was so fun watching him enjoy himself.
