Griffin's Christmas Party

Christmas in searcy

We had another great family Christmas. We spent sat night with my whole family, Christmas eve with my parents and siblings and then Christmas eve night we went to Cabot to spend the night with Nathan's two brothers and their families. Santa brought the boys skylander giants like they wanted and Reese a great kitchen. It will be tough again to get everything home but it was worth it.

Our family Christmas

Last year we started a tradition of having our family Christmas on the night before we leave for AR. This year we had to cut the night short because griffin had his school program. We still had a great night. The boys got some lights for their beds and griffin got a bible and tucker a "school book". Reese got some dishes for her kitchen. It was a nice night together before the business of the holiday began.

White Christmas

It started snowing last night around 8 last night and it snowed all night. All together we got about 8in. The smiths lost electricity in the night but we stayed warm all bundled up in bed with blankets. We got up and went to my folks house to play in the snow. Griffin lasted the longest. Tucker didn't really like it much. Reese wanted to play but could barely walk in it.

Tucker's birthday

Yesterday my middle son turned 4. I can't believe it has been 4 years since he was brought into this world and into our family. He is a true joy everyday. At home tucker is imaginative, energetic, strong willed and sometimes difficult. He is smart and talkative and always asking, thinking, learning. At school and church he is more quiet and reserved, but always compliant and well behaved. He has surprised us many times, from his talent for soccer to his love of drawing pictures for mommy- he is sweet and kind and loving and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Trail of lights

After a couple of years off, the trail of lights are back in Austin. With our busy schedule, we had to cram it in after basketball and other plans on Monday night. We had a great time, even though we kind of rushed and were underdressed for the weather. You live and learn.

Main street Bethlehem, year 6

We love this place. So glad it is part of our christmas tradition.
