Pictures at the Park

This is where we had his one year pictures taken by Kyle Barker. Nathan decided to take Griffin back there while I was at the beach. Even though he would not be still or sit down, Nathan managed to get some good pics- it's a good thing that he's so photogenic.

Weekend with Daddy

While I was out frolicking on the beach (actually we were lounging around the condo while it rained outside), Griffin and Daddy had a fun time at the Farmer's Market and Zilker Park. He loves playing with his daddy and his daddy knows how to have fun with his boy.

Play Group

As many of you know, several of us "young moms" have been meeting weekly to visit and let our kids play together. This week we were pretty low in numbers - actually it was just Kaylee, Brinton, Lucy, Griffin, and myself. We had a good time, though, especially Brinton and Griffin.

Football and Friends

Our friends, the Drennons (shout out!) came over a couple of weeks ago to watch some football and eat fajitas. It is great to have good friends and especially to see Griffin playing with his friends from church, both older and younger.

1st Day of School

Well, not really, but this is as close as we will get for a while. Griffin and I subbed yesterday for the first time in Children's Ark. I know all you mom's who have taken your little ones for the first time to Mother's Day Out or even Kindergarten know that this is nothing compared to what I am in for, but it was a milestone for us. Griffin went to the toddler class, lunch box in hand, and he managed to make it without me for most of the time. (I was in the Preschool II class) I peaked in on him during lunch and he was sitting at the table with all the other "big boys and girls" (well, they were bigger than him at least) and eating his lunch. I was so proud. Of course, 10 minutes later he was crying and ended up spending the rest of the afternoon with me, but what do you expect for your first day. :) It really hit me that these "firsts" are just beginning and he is growing up way too fast for me.

Starting Over

Well, we have given in to the blogging craze. Some of you may have occasionally visited our previous site that we had to post pictures of Griffin. If so, you probably did not visit very often as we did not keep it updated. The website we were using recently changed its format and that was the nudge we needed to start over and create a blog for our family. So, here it is. For those who care, we will try and post pictures more frequently than before. I do have to say, however, that I am not much of a true "blogger", so if you are looking to fill your time by reading lenghty musings, you are on the wrong blog. I am not much of a writer and do not have any grand ideas of becoming one. I can, however, promise lots of cute pictures of a pretty great little guy- at least we think so.
Enjoy.

Playing at home with Daddy

For some reason, he really liked putting the shorts on his head.

John Paul and Griffin

John Paul comes over to play with us on Mondays. He and Griffin are getting to be big buds. Griffin is trying to teach John Paul, but we take no respons- ibility for what he learns.

Trip to Arkansas

Last week Griffin and I flew (his first time) to Arkansas to visit our family. We were gone for 9 days. It was great to see everyone and spend time with all our family, but it was a LONG time to be away- we both missed "daddy". Unfortunately, I was too busy keeping up with Griffin and carrying his enormous bag of stuff to keep him busy, to worry about taking pictures of him on the plane. He did great! These first pictures are of Griffin and his cousin Anna Faith in the tent that Granna put up. He is not spoiled or anything.

Anna Faith's Birthday Party

MY cousin, Anna had her 10th birthday party while we were in Arkansas. She had a make-over sleepover and I was one of the chaperones. It was crazy, but a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of the big event.

Griffin's Trip to Branson

While we were in Arkansas, Griffin took a side trip to Branson, Missouri with his Grandma and Grandpa. He did great, much better than his mommy. He had a great time and so did his grand parents. They spent a lot of time in the car, but he seemed to make good use of hos time.

Griffin at Branson, part II

You can't tell he's having any fun, can you?

Griffin loved the animals at the petting zoo at Silver Dollar City.
