More of Christmas Day

We really did have a good day. We opened our presents, Nathan made breakfast, then we played most of the day. We went to visit Peyton Marsh around lunch and then we all took naps that afternoon. Nathan grilled steaks for dinner and I made mashed potatoes- as you can see, Griffin liked the potatoes. It was different not being with our families, but I am so thankful to have a wonderful husband and son and I am grateful that Nathan was off and we were able to spend Christmas day together as a family.

I agree... that first pic is a framer!
I think it is really special that you got to do your first "family christmas together" event though it may not have been exactly your choice. We were in that same situation a few years back... the first time we were here, "just the 3 (or maybe it was the 4) of us" instead of being away with family... and it has now become our tradition to be home, "just us" for christmas eve and day. It will become more and more special as Griff gets older and really gets into santa, etc... we always make cookies for santa and put our food and carrots for the reindeer, read christmas books at bedtime, etc... anyways, sorry to babble on here... it looks like yall had a merry christmas!
