Happy Birthday and Anniversary

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary. It is also Griffin's second birthday. Kind-of strange, huh. It is even weirder that I was also born on my parents 2nd anniversary and Griffin came on his own on his due date. We have had the second of many busy July 17ths but we wouldn't have it any other way. Today was a really nice day. Nathan took off from work and made breakfast for all of us this morning. Then we went to storytime and then rode the train at the park and played on the playground. Griffin and Nathan were so tired that they took a 3 hour nap before going to our friend Cason's birthday party. After the party, our friends Megan and Tim offered to watch Griffin so we could go to a movie. Don't worry- Griffin has already had 2 birthday parties with Grandparents and is having another one on Saturday, so he is getting his turn! (picture to come from our trip to AR later).

I am tired and it is getting late, but I wanted to write a quick note about my 2 favorite boys. These last 4 years have been the best of my life and I owe it all to my wonderful husband. He understands me like no one else and I am so blessed to have him in my life. He is an amazing husband, a devoted father, and a Christian leader for our family. When I watch him as he puts Griffin to bed at night (as he is doing right now), I know that this is what he is meant to do.

When Griffin was born 2 years ago, he changed our lives forever. I have loved every minute of watching him grow and learn and cannot imagine my life without him. When he sings the church songs he has learned, my heart melts. He is all boy and busy all the time, which is challenging, but so much fun. I can;t wait to watch him as he grows up and to see what God has in store for his life.

Happy anniversary Nathan!

Happy birthday Griffin!

I love you both!

Sweet post. I got a little misty-eyed. Isn't it a wonderful blessing to have a husband who loves the Lord?! I'm glad you and Nathan have each other and that God blessed you with sweet Griffin.

Isn't amazing watching our husbands be daddies and watching our kids grow up (but they could slow down a little) :)
Wish we were in town to celebrate Griffin turning 2!

Happy Anniversary to you guys, and Happy Birthday to Griffin! Isn't it weird how two of the biggest events in your life happened to take place on the exact day? My little boy was born on my husbands birthday this year!

Isn't it great to be married to someone who knows you completely and still adores you? I think that about Tim a lot. I am glad you found each other.

and Griffin...what is there to say except that he is the cutest kid ever!
