Daddy was supposed to be watching me
Last week, While I was over on the couch working on the computer, Griffin was playing by himself over on the stairs. I thought he was just being quiet but little did I know he was up to something. I walked over to scare him and ended up getting one of the best laughs I've ever had. He was wrist deep in a huge jar of Vaseline and had been rubbing it on his face and hair for the past several minutes. As you can see...He got it all over. It took a couple days and several showers before it came out. This will be one we'll remember for a long time.
Super Why
We have discovered a new show in our house- Super Why. Anybody else watch it? It is a cute show that teaches kids letters, sounds, words. I don''t know what it is about it, but Griffin is mesmerized by it. He watches other shows- Sesame Street, Curious George, etc..., but mostly plays, while occasionally turning his head to the TV to see what's going on. But this show- the whole half hour he just sits and watches. I think he is taking a lot of it in, because he seems to be learning a new letter everyday. Anyway, if you have not seen that show, it is worth a try- it has my non-stop on-the-go-all-the-time boy stopping and sitting still.
It is on our pbs station- it comes on at 10 here, after Clifford.

Griffin on the Tractor
Trip to Searcy, the Progressive Dinner
Every year my family has a progressive dinner at Christmas. My mom and her 2 saisters all live in Searcy, so we go to all 3 houses for appetizers, salads, and the main course, then finish at my grandmother's house for dessert. This year we had a theme- the places we have lived. It was loud and fun as usual- thanks for waiting on us this year and having it a little later!
